Who We Are

The Stratford Public Schools, Victoria Soto Preschool Program provides for children ages three and four years old. This includes school-day classrooms, full-day classrooms, and half-day classrooms. The school day and full-day classrooms are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Children must be three (3) years old by December 31st (of the current school year), and a Stratford resident to be considered eligible for the programs offered. We are committed to serving children and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, including children with special needs.

What We Do

Exposure to Early Childhood experiences is extremely important for young children. Students are provided opportunities to learn through choice while investigating their environment. Students are exposed to read-aloud stories, rhyming, and letter sounds. There are multiple opportunities to count objects, connect to music through movement, and freely explore through sand, water, and art.  Students learn through Purposeful Play to develop creativity, innovation, and a sense of autonomy and leadership.
